Audience: This event is designed for administrators, faculty, staff, students, and alumni from Region 4 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) who are involved or interested in HRSA workforce programs, grant opportunities, or pathways to the federal workforce. Additionally, individuals keen on fostering collaboration and addressing challenges related to accessing HRSA funding opportunities and resources within the HBCU community are encouraged to participate.

Purpose: Regional Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) Roundtable workshops are opportunities for MSI and Community College faculty, staff, and students to leverage strategic partnership opportunities to promote student success and retention in health and allied health professions. 

Key Objectives:

Enable participants to gain comprehensive insights into HRSA workforce programs and grant opportunities tailored for HBCUs through active participation in a facilitated discussion.

Foster a collaborative learning environment where HBCUs can identify and discuss common challenges related to accessing and maximizing HRSA grant programs, ultimately promoting the exploration of effective solutions.

Facilitate a knowledge exchange by engaging in a conversation with HBCU alumni, allowing participants to learn from success stories that highlight the alumni’s experiences with HRSA loan and scholarship programs, as well as successful transitions into the federal workforce.
